다락투A dakgomtang restaurant (chicken soup with rice). It opens at 08:30 Monday to Saturday, which makes it a hot-soup breakfast option in Hongdae. The menu is just two dishes: dakgomtang (₩10,000, or ₩11,000 for the large size) and dak-kalguksu, chicken noodle soup (₩11,000). The noodles take longer to come out than the soup. Closed Sundays.
Gimbap Cheonguk Hongdae Main Branch
김밥천국 홍대본점A Gimbap Cheonguk branch at 55 Eoulmadang-ro. Its hours change by day, so whether it works for breakfast depends on the day: on Friday and Saturday nights it stays open until 09:00 the next morning, while Monday to Thursday it closes at 05:30 and reopens at 10:00. Gimbap starts at ₩4,000; visitors say ordering is by kiosk and it also sells soju and beer.
Hongdae Sundaeguk
홍대순대국A soup restaurant serving sundaeguk (pork soup with blood sausage), yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) and naejangtang (offal soup). It opens at 07:00 Monday to Saturday, which makes it a hot-meal breakfast option in Hongdae. Sundaeguk was ₩11,000 in a September 2026 blog post. Walk in and order with the staff. Sunday hours differ between sources, so do not count on it for a Sunday breakfast.
Isaac Toast Hongdae
이삭토스트 서울홍대점A branch of the Isaac Toast chain, which makes hot breakfast sandwiches. It opens at 08:00 on weekdays and 09:00 on weekends, and suits a light breakfast rather than a full meal. You order at the kiosk by the entrance, and there is seating upstairs on the second floor, including window seats. Takeout is available. One toast sandwich is around ₩4,000–5,000 (corn bacon egg mayo was ₩4,300 in a December 2025 blog).
