Stripe Coffee, Yaksu

스트라이프커피 약수점

Nearest station: Yaksu Station (약수역) Exit 5

A large brunch cafe about three minutes on foot from Yaksu Station Exit 5, with a toast-and-coffee morning set from 08:00 to 11:00. Blog posts call it roomy enough for groups of four or more, and there is a separate room. The front entrance has steps, but one post says there is a lift to the left of them for strollers. Reviews also mention the high ceiling makes it loud when it fills up.

Address

서울 중구 동호로5길 18 1층

1F, 18, Dongho-ro 5-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul

Tips

  • One post says it opens at 09:00 on weekends, so check a map app for the day before going, especially on a weekend morning. Food orders close at 16:30 on weekdays and 17:30 at weekends. It closed on 6 September 2026 for a private hire of the whole cafe (Kakao Map notice).
  • Parking is paid, with valet service (₩3,000; first 60 minutes free, then ₩1,000 per 10 minutes; valet runs 10:00–20:00). An April 2026 post says the spaces under the cafe were signed as no parking. No parking option was confirmed for 08:00–10:00, before valet starts, so plan on the Yaksu-dong public car park across the street (5 minutes on foot).

A Twosome Place, Hwanghak Sindang Station

투썸플레이스 황학신당역점

A Twosome Place on the ground floor of Hwanghak Acro Tower, about four minutes on foot from Sindang Station Exit 2, opening at 08:00 every day. A review says it is big enough that people chatting and people studying end up in separate areas. Ordering a drink gets you free parking in the building's car park. The toilets are outside the cafe, inside the building.

Yukjeon Gukbap, Yaksu Station

육전국밥 약수역점

A 24-hour branch of a gukbap (soup with rice) chain right at Yaksu Station Exit 6. The signature is beef gukbap topped with yukjeon, thin slices of pan-fried beef, at ₩11,000. Spicy buckwheat noodles with yukjeon (₩11,000) and beef bulgogi in an earthenware pot (₩12,000) are also on the menu. You order on a tablet at the table, and it works well for eating alone.

Bisabeol Jeonju Kongnamul Gukbap

비사벌전주콩나물국밥

A Jeonju-style kongnamul gukbap shop (bean-sprout soup with rice) at 146 Dasan-ro. The menu has just one dish (₩10,000), so ordering is easy: say how many people and sit down. Moju, a makgeolli simmered with herbs (it contains alcohol), is ₩1,000 on the side. It opens at 09:00 every day, so it suits a late breakfast rather than an early one. It is not the same shop as the branch of the same name in Seongsu/Ttukseom.
