Magok

마곡

The Magok district of Gangseo-gu, a newly built development where large apartment complexes sit alongside corporate R&D campuses such as LG Science Park and the Lotte R&D Center. The main sight is Seoul Botanic Park. Its Open Forest, Lake Garden and Wetland Garden are free and open every day. The Thematic Garden, which holds the greenhouse, is open 09:30–18:00 from March to October (last entry 17:00) and 09:30–17:00 from November to February (last entry 16:00), and is closed on Mondays (or the following day when Monday is a public holiday). Thematic Garden tickets are ₩5,000 for adults, ₩3,000 for teenagers and ₩2,000 for children; under-6s and those aged 65 and over go free. Holders of a valid Climate Card short-term pass get 50% off (₩2,500, ₩1,500 and ₩1,000), groups of 30 or more get 30% off, and both free and discounted entry need proof (for under-6s, a document such as a passport; for the short-term pass, just show the card). From Myeongdong Station, ride Line 4 two stops to Seoul Station, then change to an AREX all-stop train; Magongnaru is the fourth stop. The AREX express does not stop there. From Gimpo Airport it is one stop on AREX; from Incheon Airport an all-stop train goes straight there without changing, eight stops from Terminal 1 or nine from Terminal 2. There is also a list of cafes where four to six people with children can sit on a weekday morning.

Places

Bricksand, One Grove

브릭샌드 원그로브점

A cafe on the B1 level of One Grove, about 200 m from Magok Station Exit 1, opening at 08:00 on weekdays and 10:30 at weekends and closing at 22:00. Posts mention a large table in the middle of the room, group seating and high chairs, and call it good for get-togethers. A June 2026 post says the seats are spaced widely enough that families with strollers do not feel in the way. Kakao Map and several 2026 posts agree on the hours.

Cafe de Craft, Magongnaru

카페드크래프트 마곡나루점

A bakery cafe on the ground floor of a building about 150 m from Magongnaru Station Exit 1, open 08:00–22:00 every day with no closing day. A March 2026 post mentions a table that seats four to eight and says reservations are possible, and another says the seating is spaced widely enough for a group to talk. The March post also says the toilets, entrance and seats are wheelchair-accessible. Kakao Map and several 2026 posts agree on the hours.

Cafe Gongmyeong, Magok

카페 공명 마곡책빵

A book cafe on the ground floor of K Square Tower 3, about 400 m from Magongnaru Station Exit 5, opening at 07:00 on weekdays and 10:00 at weekends and closing at 22:00 every day (Kakao Map and four 2026 posts agree). Kakao Map tags it as a book cafe, quiet cafe and study cafe; a July 2026 post says about a third of the customers came to work, though there were also pairs and threes chatting. Kakao Map's listing details show group seating, but the same post says the tables are small, about single-person size, the layout has few spots where a group can sit, and competition for seats is especially fierce on weekend afternoons. That post recommends going just after opening at weekends or in the evening; weekday-morning crowds were not confirmed.

Coffee Giup, COEX Magok

커피기업 코엑스 마곡직영점

A cafe on B2 of Lewest City, the complex that houses COEX Magok (the same floor as Daiso), about 400 m from Magongnaru Station Exit 2. The weekday opening time differs by source: Kakao Map and a 6 October 2026 post say 07:30, while a 12 October 2026 post and a September 2026 post say 07:00. It closes at 21:00 every day and opens at 09:00 at weekends. Posts say it has plenty of seats and several tables, enough for a group, and an October 2026 post written by a parent who came with a child says the wide tables made it comfortable. Two hours' free parking in the Lewest City car park (four posts); two posts say you register your car yourself at the cafe.

Kivol

키볼

A brunch cafe on the ground floor of Magok Pine Square 3, about 450 m from Balsan Station Exit 9. Weekday opening differs by source: six 2026 blog posts give 10:00 while Kakao Map says 09:00; for weekends, Kakao Map and most posts say 11:00. A September 2026 post says there are plenty of round and square tables and quite a few groups, and another post says you can book by phone and should ask ahead for a large party. Kakao Map's AI review summary calls it a "yes-kids zone", and its listing details show high chairs.

Phone

Oromo Coffeehouse

오로모커피하우스

A cafe on the ground floor of a company office building, about 120 m from Magongnaru Station Exit 2. It opens only on weekdays, 07:30–18:30, and is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (Kakao Map and two 2026 blog posts). A 2025 post describes a long laptop-work table in the middle of the room, and another 2025 post says group use is possible; a party of four to six would be sharing that communal table. It closes at 18:30, so it does not work late in the afternoon.

Terarosa, One Grove

테라로사 원그로브점

A Terarosa branch on the ground floor of One Grove Building D, near Magok Station Exit 1. Per Terarosa's official store list it opens at 07:30 on weekdays and 10:00 at weekends and on public holidays, closing at 22:00 (last order 21:30). Kakao Map's facility information marks it wheelchair-accessible. Whether it is a no-kids zone was not confirmed.
