옥경이네 건생선A grilled and braised semi-dried fish restaurant inside Sindang Central Market. The signature dish is grilled semi-dried cuttlefish. An English guide states that dine-in is walk-in only and that only takeout orders can be phoned in a day ahead. It opens at 13:00 and runs until 01:00, so it is shut at lunchtime. Grilled cuttlefish runs from 39,000 won for the small to 98,000 won for the large, so picking the size that matches your group is the main decision here.
Royal Sikdang
로얄식당A home-style set-meal restaurant on the ground floor of the Royal Building, 6 Dasan-ro 14-gil. It opens at 06:00 (Kakao Map and 2025 blogs), so it works for an early breakfast. The meal is rice, soup and grilled fish with side dishes that change daily; 2025 blogs give the price as ₩7,000 in cash or ₩7,500 by card. Hours and prices have not been re-confirmed for 2026, and closed days and weekend opening are unknown.

세컨하우스A brunch cafe about seven minutes on foot from Yaksu Station Exit 3. It opens at 09:00, but food starts at 11:00, so mornings are mostly drinks. It closes on the first and third Tuesday of each month, allows pets, and has three free parking spaces. Several blog posts say the main room is large and there are two private rooms, which suits group meetups.
Ssada Gimbap, Yaksu Station
싸다김밥 약수역점A 24-hour branch of a bunsik (Korean snack-food) chain near Yaksu Station Exit 2. Gimbap runs ₩4,000–6,000 (house gimbap ₩4,000, salad gimbap ₩4,500, tuna gimbap ₩5,000), and there are proper meals too: kimchi-jjigae, soft-tofu stew, fried rice, rice bowls and omurice, mostly from ₩4,000 to a little over ₩10,000. You order at the kiosk by the entrance. It covers a quick breakfast at any hour.
