이문설농탕

Nearest station: Jonggak Station (종각역) Exit 3-1 · ≈264 m≈ approximate, from map data (Kakao Map, Naver Map or map coordinates)

A seolleongtang (ox-bone soup) restaurant at 38-13 Ujeongguk-ro. The shop says it opened in 1904, and the Michelin Guide website lists it as a selected restaurant (not a Bib Gourmand). Seolleongtang is ₩15,000, or ₩18,000 for the large (Kakao Map). It opens at 08:00 every day, so breakfast works, though it is one of the later openers among Insadong and Jongno's breakfast spots.

Tips

  • The owner-managed Kakao Map listing and an October 2026 visit blog agree: opens 08:00, break 15:00–16:30, closes 20:00 on Sundays. The one blog giving 21:00 on Sundays looks back on an earlier visit. Last orders are 30 minutes before each closing (blog).
  • Per Kakao Map it is 264m, about 4 minutes on foot, from Jonggak Station (Line 1) Exit 3-1. By Kakao Map coordinates it is about 200m in a straight line from Ssamziegil, so it is also close to the middle of Insadong-gil.
