Yongsan Station Exits and Transfers: Exits 1–3 and Sinyongsan (Line 4)
Yongsan is a big mainline station where Line 1 and Gyeongui–Jungang Line trains share the building with KTX and other long-distance services, and the entire station building is I'Park Mall. There are only three exits, so choosing one is easy. What trips people up is that Sinyongsan Station (Line 4), despite the name, is not connected inside the station, and that the airport railroad does not stop here.

Exit 1 — station plaza and the Sinyongsan side
The exit for Yongsan Station Plaza and the Yongsan Post Office side. For Sinyongsan Station (Line 4) and Yongridan-gil, leave here and walk a short way. One review puts Artisee, at Sinyongsan Exit 3, about two minutes on foot from Yongsan Exit 1.
Exit 2 — I'Park Mall and Shilla I'Park Duty Free
Toward I'Park Mall and Shilla I'Park Duty Free. That said, the station building itself is I'Park Mall, so its restaurants and shops connect straight from inside the station.
Exit 3 — Wonhyo-ro, Yongsan Electronics Market, Seoul Dragon City
Toward Wonhyo-ro, Yongsan Electronics Market and the Seoul Dragon City hotel complex. A pedestrian bridge from the station's 3rd floor links it to the electronics market side and Seoul Dragon City.
Sinyongsan Station (Line 4) — no transfer inside the station
Line 4, which goes to Myeongdong, Seoul Station and Ichon (for the National Museum of Korea), stops not at Yongsan but at Sinyongsan next door. There is no transfer passage inside Yongsan Station, so leave by Exit 1 and walk 2–3 minutes. You can also go through the Raemian The Central underground arcade in front of the station.
No airport railroad — change to Line 1 at Seoul Station
The Incheon Airport railroad (AREX) runs to Seoul Station, not Yongsan. From the airport, take AREX to Seoul Station, change to Line 1 and get off two stops later, after Namyeong. Going the other way, change at Seoul Station as well.
KTX and ITX — not the same station as Seoul Station
Yongsan is a starting station for Honam, Jeolla and Janghang Line trains, and ITX-Cheongchun trains to Chuncheon start here too. Some Honam and Jeolla Line KTX trains start from Seoul or Haengsin instead, so even for Gwangju, Mokpo or Yeosu, check the departure station on your ticket.
Tips
- The destinations listed for each exit (1 for the plaza and post office, 2 for I'Park Mall and the duty-free, 3 for Wonhyo-ro and the electronics market) follow the exit list on Namuwiki. Wikipedia also confirms Exit 1 for Sinyongsan and the 3rd-floor bridge to the electronics market and Dragon City; for the rest, follow the signs in the station.
- For the National Museum of Korea, get off at Ichon — one stop from Yongsan on the Gyeongui–Jungang Line, or one stop from Sinyongsan on Line 4. The museum's official directions say the Museum Nadeul-gil walkway, toward Ichon Station Exit 2, leads to its west gate.
