Breakfast at Yongsan Station: Places Open from 05:00 Before Your KTX

Inside the Yongsan Station building. Open daily 05:30–22:30, so you can buy bread, sandwiches and coffee even before the first train. There are a few tables to sit at.

In the Yongsan Station concourse. Open daily 06:00–22:00. It sells snacks such as fish cakes and fish-cake bars to take on the train. The hours are based only on 2025 sources.

Inside the 3rd-floor waiting hall of Yongsan Station. Open daily 06:00–22:00. Dumpling ramyeon is ₩6,500 and beef-bone rice-cake and dumpling soup ₩11,000. There is a bar counter for solo diners, handy for a hot sit-down meal before the train.

Inside Yongsan Station. Open daily 06:30–22:00. A chain selling udon, udon-and-rice sets and pork-cutlet sets — the place for a hot, sit-down breakfast without leaving the station.

Inside the 3rd-floor waiting hall of Yongsan Station. Opens at 06:30 Monday to Saturday and 07:00 on Sunday, closing at 21:20. Banquet noodles are ₩9,000 and hot-stone bibimbap ₩12,000 — a Korean breakfast of noodles or bibimbap without leaving the station.

On the 4th-floor restaurant floor of I'Park Mall; bean-sprout soup with rice is ₩9,000. Open daily 09:00–21:00, so it is for a late breakfast, not an early one.

A buffet on the 2nd floor of Seoul Dragon City (Novotel and Novotel Suites) next to Yongsan Station Exit 3. Breakfast is 06:30–10:00 on weekdays and 06:30–10:30 on weekends and public holidays. At ₩70,000 per adult and ₩35,000 per child (official site), it is the most expensive option here. It can be booked through Naver.

On the 2nd floor of 19 Hangang-daero 40-gil, about 180 m from Sinyongsan Station Exit 1. A sundae-gukbap restaurant that opens at 05:00 every day, the earliest on this list apart from the near-24-hour Iyeo Gomtang. Sundae gukbap is ₩11,000. There is a 15:00–17:00 break, and sources give the closing time as 01:00 or 02:00.

At 14 Hangang-daero 50-gil, between Samgakji and Sinyongsan stations. Gimbap from ₩6,000, plus dumplings. Opens at 06:00 Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sundays. It closes at 14:00 on Saturday; sources disagree on Friday's closing time.

Right by Sinyongsan Station Exit 3, at 95 Hangang-daero. A bakery-cafe chain that opens at 07:00 every day (closing 22:30 Mon–Sat, 21:30 Sun) — good for a sit-down breakfast of pastries and coffee.

At 139-1 Hangang-daero, near Samgakji Station. Gimbap from ₩5,500. Mon–Sat 07:30–19:30, closed Sundays, with a 14:30–16:30 break on weekdays. Several reviews say you cannot eat inside, so plan on takeaway.

At 136 Hangang-daero, on the main road between Sinyongsan and Samgakji; gomtang is ₩13,000 (₩12,000 on Kakao Map). Open almost around the clock, but it closes at 21:30 on Sunday and reopens at 07:00 on Monday. It is open at breakfast on most days, Sunday included; only on Monday is it shut before 07:00.
