Tips

  • Kakao Map, DiningCode and three 2026 blogs agree on these hours, but the newest dated visit is 5 July 2026, about three months old. Check a map app before you go.
  • At 3 Wausan-ro 10-gil. Sources disagree on the floor: Kakao Map says basement level 1 of the LK Building, while a blog from 5 July 2026 says the ground floor. Look at both when you reach the building.
  • The ₩11,000 combo set price is from a blog dated 14 April 2026. The ₩6,000 price for a single roll appears only on a Kakao Map menu last updated in April 2025, so treat it as a rough guide.

Parole & Langue Yeonnam

파롤앤랑그 연남

A tart shop in the Yeonnam alleys. It takes no bookings — you put yourself on the list using a tablet at the entrance. The tablet offers Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese, but the call goes out over KakaoTalk, so without a Korean number you wait in front of the shop rather than walking off. It opens at 13:00 and closes Mondays, which rules out a morning stop.

No Korean phone neededWalk-in only

Rolling Hall

롤링홀

A live music hall in the basement of a building on Eoulmadang-ro, Seogyo-dong. Seoul's cultural-venue listing gives it 200 seats or 450 standing and dates it to 1995. The line-up changes nightly and each show is sold through whichever ticketing site that promoter uses. The one the venue's own site links to, Melon Ticket, requires identity verification through a Korean domestic mobile number before it will let you buy, so that route is closed to a visitor without a Korean number.

KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae

KT&G 상상마당 홍대

A cultural complex opened by the tobacco company KT&G in September 2007. One building, seven storeys up and four down, holds a gallery (4–5F), a design square (1–2F), a live hall (B2) and a cinema (B4). Walking into the building itself costs no ticket, but the live hall and the cinema each sell through a different channel, and the official site is in Korean only. Each floor runs its own calendar, so decide which one you are going for and check that floor's schedule before you travel.
